SPEAKING AND DOING

Good day ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to my first post, made this 1st day of January, 2020. I pray it blesses your life tremendously.

As I was reading through Genesis Chapter One this morning, I discovered something spectacular that God did in the story of creation.

Creation was twofold: speaking and doing.
If you read through, you’ll discover that God said… and then He went ahead to do…
Let’s just cut out some verses and see:

Genesis 1
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters…
7 And God made the firmament…
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night…
16 And God made two great lights…
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life…
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth…
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind…
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind…
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image…
27 So God created man in his own image…

What is the significance of this?
God laid a foundation for us. I believe this revelation is timely. This is the first day of the year, and many of us have made series of resolutions and decisions on what we’ll do this year. I tell you frankly that if you don’t make adequate plans to get the goals achieved, you’ll end the year the same way you did last. So, doing is very important.

If that is so, can I just go straight to doing and skip talking?
Well, to be total, the two are necessary. When God created the earth, His speech was not a show of how good He could speak. He needed not to prove anything to anyone. His speaking was a means of
(1) Fertilizing the earth for what He was about to create.
(2) Directing or appropriating the creative energy.

So, use your words to fertilize the earth, and direct the creative energy. After which you move on to actually take steps to ensure success.

Wow, that means I can speak to anyone, anywhere, anytime about my plans!
Not exactly. See, the essence of this speaking is not to make everyone aware of your plans. Firstly, not everyone will support you, so why risk being discouraged? Also, not everyone will be happy that you’re set for progress. Just make progress; let them see the results.

In fact, I will advice you speak to Jehovah God first. Then speak only to those you know can and are willing to help you achieve the goals. Outside these, it is best you keep it to yourself.

With that in mind, you can speak to yourself in your room. You can place tags on your walls: where you’re sure to see them each morning. You can record yourself a voice note of you, explaining to you the success you’ve already seen with the eyes of faith. You can turn them into mantras if you’re comfortable with mantras. By all means, speak to yourself, fertilize the earth and direct the creative force.

I have in mind to make my posts as short as possible. So I’ll stop here. Over to you now. How are you going to use this information? Will you engage in both speaking and doing? What are your thoughts on this? Please drop your comments, questions, and suggestions below. Thank you.
